I work as Assistant Professor at University College London (UCL). I am affiliated with the Electronic & Electrical Engineering Department and member of the UCL’s Academic Center of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR). I am Honorary Research Fellow at the Institute for Security Science and Technology at Imperial College London.
My research interests are IoT, privacy, security, networking and Internet measurement techniques. I study privacy implications and information exposure from IoT devices. I work on the problem of modelling, designing, and evaluating adaptation strategies based on Internet measurements techniques.
Our team went through Phase 2 of the InnovateUK CyberASAP programme. We got funds for developing a PoC ready to present at a Demo Day in February.
Our team has won one of the TOP 5 spots in the Telekom Challenge Development Stream, receiving a generous gift to develop a prototype for the blocking system, IoTrim.
Our Paper Information Exposure From Consumer IoT Devices: A Multidimensional, Network-Informed Measurement Approach won the community contribution award at IMC'19 because “the dataset was timely, has high potential for impact, and was challenging to obtain.” Check out our data and code here: https://moniotrlab.ccis.neu.edu/imc19/
